Please join us for our final PTA meeting of the 2023-2024 school year to help us elect next year's executive board and wrap up our PTA year, then stay for performances from some of our many amazing arts-based groups! The groups performing will be:

Orchestra
Orchestra is a class currently offered to our 4^th and 5^th grade DeGolyer students and meets weekly during specials. This course is offered during the school day and allows students to explore the basics of learning to read and perform music through the study of bowed string instruments such as the violin, viola, cello, or double bass. After two years of practice and experience in this course, orchestra students will be prepared for advanced instrumental music classes in middle school.

Ballroom Dancing
DeGolyer PTA and DeGolyer Dads Club join forces each year to pay for Dancing Classrooms to come to our campus and give ballroom dancing lessons to our 5th Graders. Come watch our 5th grade students perform the dances they've learned!

Cheer and Dance Club
The DeGolyer Cheer and Dance Club was one of the electives offered for Friday Clubs, which take place during the school day on Friday afternoons.  There are between 40-50 girls in the club, ranging from 1st grade-5th grade.  During our club time, we stretch and warm up, practice skills, and work on both cheer and dance routines.

Únase a nosotros en nuestra junta final de la PTA para ayudarnos a elegir la junta ejecutiva del próximo año y concluir nuestro año de la PTA, ¡luego quédese para ver las presentaciones de algunos de nuestros increíbles grupos artísticos! Los grupos que actuarán serán:

Orquesta
Orquesta es una clase que se ofrece a nuestros estudiantes de DeGolyer de 4º y 5º grado y se reúne semanalmente durante las ofertas especiales. Este curso se ofrece durante el día escolar y permite a los estudiantes explorar los conceptos básicos para aprender a leer e interpretar música a través del estudio de instrumentos de cuerda frotada como el violín, la viola, el violonchelo o el contrabajo. Después de dos años de práctica y experiencia en este curso, los estudiantes de orquesta estarán preparados para clases avanzadas de música instrumental en la escuela intermedia.

Baile de Salón
La PTA de DeGolyer y el Club de Papás DeGolyer unen fuerzas cada año para pagar Dancing Classrooms para que vengan a nuestro campus y den lecciones de baile de salón a nuestros estudiantes de quinto grado. ¡Ven a ver a nuestros estudiantes de quinto grado realizar los bailes que han aprendido!

Club de Porristas y Baile
El Club de Porristas y Baile de DeGolyer fue una de las clubs ofrecidas para los Clubs de Viernes, que se llevan a cabo durante el día escolar los viernes por la tarde. Hay entre 40 y 50 niñas en el club, desde 1.º hasta 5.º grado. Durante nuestro tiempo en el club, nos estiramos y calentamos, practicamos habilidades y trabajamos en rutinas de baile y porristas.
