Pumpkin Contest 2025

DeGolyer’s Annual Pumpkin Contest is coming soon on Friday, October 31st! All students are encouraged to join in the fun!

Pumpkins can be carved, painted, or decorated. Be as creative as you want!

• Drop off will be between 7:30-8:30 am, and all pumpkins must be picked up by 4:00 pm or they will be thrown away. More logistical details to come!
• These will be the categories this year:
  1. Young Artist (PK-2nd) - Will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places
  2. Young Artist (3rd-6th) - Will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places
  3. Best School Spirit
  4. Best Class Pumpkin
  5. Best Overall Family Pumpkin (non-carved)
  6. Best Overall Family Pumpkin (carved)
• You can enter in both Family and Young Artist categories, but only 1 pumpkin per form.
• Important Note: Young Artist Pumpkins are to be done solely by the student who is entering the pumpkin. The only exceptions are:
  • Parents can support their children in purchasing supplies
  • Parents can cut the top off the pumpkin and help the child remove the insides
• Aside from those two exceptions, Young Artist Pumpkins need to be done 100% by the student who is entering the pumpkin. Pumpkins that receive any help will be entered as Family Pumpkins.

Concurso de calabazas 2025

El Concurso de Calabazas de DeGolyer viene pronto el viernes, 31 de octubre! Todos los estudiantes están invitados a participar en la diversión.

Las calabazas pueden ser pintadas, decoradas o talladas.

• Entrega de calabazas estará de 7:30-8:30 am, y todas las calabazas tienen que ser recogidas antes de las 4:00 pm, para que no se las ponga en la basura. ¡Más detalles logísticos vienen!
• Categorías este año:
  1. Artista Juvenil (PreK-2ndo) - Lugares 1ro, 2do, 3ro
  2. Artista Juvenil (3ro-6to) -Lugares 1ro, 2do, 3ro
  3. Mejor Espíritu Escolar
  4. Mejor Completamente Tallada (Calabaza Familiar)
  5. Mejor Sin Tallar Completamente (Calabaza Familiar)
  6. La Mejor Calabaza de Todas las Clases
• Puede participar en ambas categorías Familiar y Artista Juvenil, pero solamente una calabaza por cada formulario.
• Nota Importante: Calabazas de Artista Juvenil deben ser completadas solamente por el estudiante. Las únicas excepciones:
  • Padres pueden apoyar sus niños en comprar útiles
  • Padres pueden cortar la parte de arriba de la calabaza y ayudarlos a remover la parte interior
• Aparte de estas dos excepciones, las Calabazas de Artista Juvenil deben ser completadas 100% por el estudiante. Las calabazas que reciban ayuda de cualquier manera tienen que ser entregadas como Calabaza Familiar.
